Hierarchy Of Matter Complexity, Scientific Dependency : “Relationship Of Matter-Energy-Information ©”

A physical system is a coordination of precise information. Any physical system can be grouped within classification order of matter complexity.

Matter is organized into classification of physical systems at various levels of subsistence. The hierarchy of matter complexity is depicted as pyramid presentation. The various levels are categorized from lower to higher complexity. The underlying principle is that the higher level is always and entirely reliant on the lower level for its organization and existence. If the lower level is not present, then the upper level cannot exist. Hence, the presentation is termed as hierarchy of matter complexity since the lower level of matter is coordinated to develop the upper level. It is also specified as hierarchy of scientific dependency.

The pyramid presentation of levels of existent matter starts from information at its base. From “concept of energy-information equivalence principle”, we appreciate that all information is expression of energy. Thus, information, which is the manifestation of energy, forms the base level of the pyramid presentation.

The matter classified on the second plane of pyramid illustration is elementary particles primarily considered as protons, neutrons and electrons. The scientific study of these elementary particles is known as particle physics.

I categorize elementary particles as those that are analogous to electromagnetic radiation in some manner and demeanor. Since then only, we can relate and link the two base levels of pyramid illustration to each other. It is utmost crucial to understand that information, which is an expression of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) energy must be linked to the fundamental essentials of matter, the elementary particles. It is only then that composite forms of matter be expressed in terms of information. The correlation of electromagnetic radiation spectrum to fundamental particles is the means to matter existence.

When we equate two things to each other, then theoretically and mathematically they correspond to each other in nature and character. The aspect of concern here is that when an electron is accelerated, it emits electromagnetic radiation. Thus, we can say that an accelerated electron is equivalent to electromagnetic radiation energy. Consequently, we establish an association between the base levels of hierarchy. This is scientific attestation for the above discussion.

Further, we follow that precise and exclusive assemblage of elementary particles composes atoms and molecules, which constitute next level of matter complexity. This branch of science is known as chemistry.

It is to be emphasized that all levels of matter complexity sustain on elementary particles. The distinct arrangement and assemblage of elementary particles fabricates third level of hierarchy, chemistry. The physical and chemical properties, elements and molecules possess, is by virtue of their constituent structural configuration of elementary articles of atom that is justified in terms of information.

The elements such as in periodic table, which comprise the immense scope of atoms and compounds, constitute the scientific foundation of chemistry.

The next in level of hierarchy of matter complexity is field of cosmology. The astrophysicists and cosmologists fall short of defining the shape and size of the universe, which is tacitly understood to be infinite. Cosmology is the study of the origin, evolution, and eventual fate of the universe and explores stars, planets and other celestial bodies.

 A star uses the primary elements, hydrogen and helium as fuel and eventually during its lifespan forges the light and heavy elements. All the other elements of the periodic table are thus attained during the lifetime of a star. These elements combine to form atoms and compounds, which together constitute the substances of planets. Thus, there are diverse planetary systems. Some of them are rich in gaseous elements as sulphur, oxygen, hydrogen or chlorine. Other planets may be rich in heavy elements as iron, magnesium or silicon.

Thus, the hierarchy pyramid model of scientific dependency establishes cosmology over chemistry.

Now, we understand that all biological sciences (botany and zoology) stem from planetary system. Both plant and animal life including human beings employ the planet resources in form of atmosphere and minerals to grow and evolve. We recognize that animal kingdom is entirely reliant on plant life for its survival.

Since, compounds and minerals in the biological domain are sourced from the planetary system it exists on; the existence of biological theme is not possible without cosmology. Therefore, I safely categorize biology over cosmology in the pyramid structure of matter complexity.

Next, we learn that all animal life including human life (zoology) is completely dependent on plant life (botany), directly or indirectly, for continued source of energy as food for existence. This is apart from our dependency for other natural resources that we depend upon and use from our planetary sources, earth.

 

 

 


 

On The Concept Of Energy-Information Equivalence Principle ©

INTRODUCTION

Mass–energy equivalence confirms that anything that has mass, has an equivalent amount of energy and vice versa. These fundamental quantities directly relate to one another by Albert Einstein’s formula :  E = mc2

Information has slowly scaled up from an insignificant area of discussion to the most fundamental concepts in physics. Information has been explaining subject matters in quantum mechanics, is an important mechanism in quantum computing, and is predictive to play an important role in unifying two fundamental and time-honored theories of twentieth century physics, general relativity and quantum mechanics.

Thus, mass-energy-information loop emerges as essential element in quantum mechanics.

CONTENTION : “INFORMATION IN TERMS OF ENERGY”

The concept of information is the inception that describes a physical reality. It is the basic currency of physical existence, so theorist Paul Davies terms it as “ontological basis” of reality.[1]

“INFORMATION” in simple terms can be described as collection of facts, knowledge or data. It is derived from the Latin word informare which means to give form to mind.

Information is an inert expression and abstract concept and cannot be measured.

In basic scientific precepts, complete information about a physical system at one point in time should determine its state at any other time.[2] For this ideology to be true, any physical system in existence necessitates holding some information. Without information, the description and existence of the physical system is not possible. Convincingly, it is an unreserved inference that every physical system registers distinctive information. The assemblage and organization of this information materializes into the same physical system, every time.

This connotes that matter is equivalent to information in principle, introducing “mass-information equivalence.”

In a most remarkable explanation, Albert Einstein correctly described the equivalence of mass and energy. According to Einstein’s famous equation E = mc2, the energy E of a physical system is numerically equal to the product of its mass m and the speed of light c squared. This result lies at the core of modern physics.  It is customary to refer to this result as the equivalence of mass and energy, or simply “mass-energy equivalence,” because one can choose units in which c = 1, and hence E = m. [3]

 On evaluation of the above discussion, we know that matter is equivalent to energy and matter is abbreviated in terms of information. Therefore, energy and information have to be analogous to each other. As follows, energy is equivalent to information in principle, instituting “energy-information equivalence.”

Conclusively, all information is expression of energy.

POINTS TO SUPPORT – “ENERGY-INFORMATION EQUIVALENCE PRINCIPLE”

The equivalence principle of energy and information also cohere because of their comparative features.

The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be destroyed.

The same feature stands true for information, when quantum mechanics distinguishes that information cannot in principle be lost.[4]
